Norseland Scout Camp is close to some great cycling trails. the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail or Red Jacket Trail are two that are used by local troops for the cycling merit badge. Both have starting points in Mankato, 30 minutes away. Seven Mile Creek Park is a large park located 22 minutes away and has ten miles of trails that traverse the hills and bluffs along Seven Mile Creek. Brown Trout are stocked annually in the creek and other fishing is available in the Minnesota River. It's a great place for a pre-Philmont or other backpacking trek and to work on your fishing or hiking merit badges.
