It's a Weekend Adventure at Kiwanis


Get your family traveling and out of the house for a fun weekend adventure at Kiwanis Scout Camp! Our family camp sessions blend fun staffed activities, food service, indoor cabins or tenting with quality family time! This two-night program is geared towards Scout families with kids in Kindergarden-5th grade, but all ages are welcome to attend!

Dormitory

Your family may stay in a section of the dormitory indoors.

Cabins

Most families will stay in indoor cabins, one to a family, with indoor bathrooms nearby.

Yurt

One family will stay in our spacious yurt with indoor bathrooms nearby.

Dining Hall

All meal opportunities will be served in an indoor dining hall.

Indoor Restrooms

Restroom facilities include a flush toilet and a sink.

Indoor Showers

Shower buildings can be either locker room style with individual shower stalls or single room showers with a locking door.

Outdoor Latrines

You can expect to see latrines near every campsite and program area. Latrines are stocked with toilet paper and a hand washing stations (either hand sanitizer or a sink with soap).

Internet accessibility and cell phone coverage is limited at all of our camp properties. Participants will be asked to keep cell phones and other electronic devices in their backpacks during the day.

The camp store is stocked with small convenience items, snacks, apparel, souvenirs and patches. Cash, check and credit cards ($5 minimum) are accepted. The store will be open during the lunch hour each day. Pocket knives will not be sold to anyone under the age of 18 without permission from their parent or legal guardian.

Schedule

After checking in and getting settled on Friday evening, both Saturday and Sunday will include times where all our staffed programs will be open to explore, time for families to do self-serve activities on their own, and optional add-on programs like a guided canoe trip, ponies, and tie dye. Meals will be cooked for you and served in our indoor dining hall each meal.

Kiwanis Family Camp is open to all registered Scouting families to attend together.

Do parents have to attend?

Yes, family camp is for the whole family to attend together.

How much does it cost?

2021 Fees

$250/per family of 4 (children under 5 years old not included in count)

$55/per family member over 4th person

What should I bring?

Families should pack:

  • Bedding or sleeping bags for cabins, dorms or yurt
  • Camp clothes and shoes
  • Toiletries and towels
  • Swimming supplies
  • Snacks (we’ll provide the main meals)
  • Games, or other fun camping activities for free time

What forms do I need to bring?

Each participant must have parts A and B completed of the Health Form. Additionally, each youth participant who would like to participate in shooting sports activities must have a completed Shooting Sports Waiver. Both of these forms can be found in the FORMS section of this page. In 2021, each family member will also need to complete a COVID health check upon arrival. Forms will be collected at check-in on Friday evening.
