This introductory one-day program teaches participants how to stay warm while having fun in the great outdoors during the winter. Spend the day outdoors developing winter skills to help get you ready for future overnight, outside winter camping.
Opens on October 1st at noon. Click on the link above. You will need to know the number of youth and adults in your group. There is a $25 deposit per person to hold your spot. Full payment is due December 1st for January sessions and January 1st for February sessions.
This program is offered at Phillippo Scout Reservation near Cannon Falls, MN. Phillippo is only 45 minutes from the center of the Twin Cities metro area.

No sleeping overnight in 2021. This program is a day program only in 2021.

9:15 am Pick up pre-ordered winter clothing
9:30 am Change into winter gear. Cold weather clothing inspection and instruction.
9:45 am Review gear sled
10:00 am Hike to and set up base camp
11:00 am Activity Session 1
12:00 pm Lunch on trail
1:00 pm Activity Session 2
2:00 pm Activity Session 3
3:00 pm Activity Session 4
4:00 pm Acitvity Session 5
5:00 pm Winter Cooking Instructional/Stove Lighting Demo/Supper
6:30 pm Night Hike/Star Gazing
7:30 pm Return gear and depart for home
