PROGRAM (JUNE-AUGUST)

During the Summer Season, Akela Lodge is a free space for families to use, located just a short walk from the yurts and campsites. There is a small kitchen that Yurt and Campsite users can use for cooking. The lodge also has a seating area and patio that families can use for eating, playing board games, and hanging out. There will be many different craft projects campers can do on their own. Camp Stearns offers opportunities for self-served activities. Self-serve activities include hiking, biking (bring your own bike), fishing, boating (canoes, rowboats, and paddleboats are available), swimming (no lifeguard on duty at the beach), geocaching, disc golf, pedal karts (equipment provided), campfires and more.

During the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons we encourage families to explore the local area and bring their own activities such as games, tie dye, crafts, skill kits and sports equipment.

  • Yurts (7 person): $70/night
