Archery
How Do We Archery?
Youth participants (and most adults, thought they won't admit it
right away) love to shoot stuff at stuff with stuff. Our camps provide
archery ranges and archery equipment to help you provide this growing
youth sport to your group.
Who can shoot at our ranges?
Archery is available to Kindergarten age and above. Parents are
encouraged to participate on their own or alongside their youth
participant.
What is the cost?
Renting a range is only $1 per person for a two hour time period.
When can we shoot?
Archery is not available when snow is covering the ground.
How do we reserve a range?
When making your weekend camping reservation, you can book an archery
range. They are reserved in two hour time slots.
Training Required
All archery programs require an Archery
Rangemaster to supervise the group shoot. Your group will need to have
an adult with this training to operate a range. Campmasters will request proof of certification when you check-in at camp. Archery Rangemaster
trainings are available to Scouting
leaders and are offered in the spring and fall by the Shooting Sports
Committee.
