Program Highlights

Sharing a snowmobile and riding with a buddy Scouts will travel over 75 miles on snowmobile in a weekend through the trails of Tomahawk and the surrounding snowmobiling trails in Washburn county. Develop your skills as a rider and then put them to the test.

Other Activities Included: Tubing, Orienteering, Cross County Skiing

Requirements to Participate

  • Must be registered in a Venture Crew
  • Must be 16 years old on the day of riding,¬†
  • Have a valid drivers license
  • Must complete the Snowmobile Safety Course online before arrival:¬†


$250 per person

Sleeping Arrangements

Sleep Inside


7:30-8 pm Check-in, assign bunks, check out gear, winter weather training.
9:45 p.m. Welcome and Cracker Barrel
10:00 pm Adult leader meeting
11:00 pm Lights out, all quiet

8:00 am Breakfast
8:45 am Finish trail preparation
9:30 am Review safety rules
10:30 am Morning ride and skills testing
12:30 pm Lunch inside
1:00 pm Afternoon ride
2:30 pm Break
3:00 pm Out of camp ride
6:00 pm Dinner on trail
7:00 pm Ride back
8:00 pm Gas up sleds
9:00 pm Back at base camp

6:00 am Breakfast
7:30 am Depart for morning ride
9:00 am Return Sleds
10:30 am Return gear and pack up
12:00 pm Banquet
Trading Post open 11-12 am & 1-1:30 pm
1:00 pm Clean Up
1:30 pm Depart for home
