Program Highlights

This introductory weekend program teaches participants how to stay warm while having fun in the great outdoors during the winter. Sleep inside, but spend the day outdoors developing winter skills, teambuilding, cross country skiing and playing games like broomball and initiative games.

Possible activities: Cross Country Skiing, Snow Shoeing, Broomball, Winter Nature Hike, Night Tubing, Team Building Games, Orienteering, Winter Cooking, Parachute Shelter.

Grade Level

Recommended for all grade levels, Webelos welcome. (Webelos need to provide their own boots and snow pants. Price for Webelos is reduced by $5)



Sleeping Arrangements

Sleep inside both nights.


7:30-8 pm Check-in, assign bunks, pack sled and food, winter weather training.
9:45 pm Welcome and Cracker Barrel
10:00 pm Adult Leader Meeting
11:00 pm Lights out, all quiet

8:00 am Breakfast
8:45 am Check out gear/clothing
10:00 am All crews on trail
10:30 am Set up camp
12:30 pm Lunch in the crew site
1:00 pm Afternoon activities
5:00 pm Return to Base Camp
6:00 pm Evening meal inside
8:00 pm Optional night hike/star gazing

7:45 am Breakfast
8:45 am Morning Activities
11:00 am Return to Base Camp/check in gear
12:30 pm Banquet
Trading Post open 11-12 am & 1-1:30 pm
1:00 pm Clean Up
1:30 pm Depart for Home
