WHY GO FISHING?

Fishing is a great way to connect with nature, relieve some stress, learn how our ancestors used to acquire food, and more! It's a life long hobby and a great skill to have.

WHO CAN FISH?

Anyone can catch a giant fish, telling the big story, however, will take some practice.

WHEN CAN I FISH?

Fishing is a year-round sport in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Just make sure you're prepared for the season. Casting onto a frozen lake is not very effective.

HOW DO YOU DO IT?

Many of our weekend properties are next to to great fishing spots. Make a reservation, bring your fishing gear, and current fishing license. If you'd like to go out on a boat, make sure to communicate that when making your registration, and bring leadership certified in Safety Afloat.

IS THERE ADVANCEMENT RELATED TO FISHING?

Both Scouts BSA members can earn merit badges and Cub Scouts can earn belt loops related to fishing.
